Green Star is a rating system developed by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) to assess and certify the sustainability of buildings in Australia. The rating system evaluates the environmental design and construction of a building, as well as its ongoing operation and maintenance.
The Green Star rating system has become a widely recognised benchmark for sustainable building design and construction in Australia and is based on a points system, with buildings awarded ratings between 4 and 6 stars, depending on the number of points achieved.
